PUBLIC NOTICE
HARMAR TOWNSHIP ZONING HEARING BOARD
The Harmar Township Zoning Hearing Board
will hold a public hearing at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at the Harmar Township Municipal Building 701 Freeport Road, Cheswick, PA, 15024, to consider the following applications:
Appeal of Rosemary Carroll from the issuance of a zoning permit by the Township Zoning Officer for aluminum covering over an existing deck on property owned by Robert W. Swidorsky and Michele Mercurio located at 418 Hickory Court, Harmar Township, Parcel ID No. 440-F-418-0000-00 in the R-1 Zoning District.
The Appeal is filed pursuant to Section 909.1(a)(3) of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code and Section 27-1102.1 of the Harmar Township Zoning Ordinance and alleges the permit was issued contrary to Sections 27-1009(3)(C)(1) and 27-202 of the Harmar Township Zoning Ordinance.
Please take notice that the hearing on the above-referenced application will be conducted by the Zoning Hearing Board and its appointed Hearing Officer, Babst, Calland, Clements, & Zomnir, P.C. At the conclusion of the public hearing, the Zoning Hearing Board may take action on the application. Any interested party, resident or taxpayer is welcome to appear and attend and participate. Copies of the application are available for inspection at the office of the Township Manager, 701 Freeport Road, Harmar, PA, during regular business hours.
