The City of Lower Burrell is accepting bids for Superpave Asphalt products, and Limestone for the year 2025. Please contact City Hall at 724-335-9875, extension 232, or come into City Hall to receive a bid packet.
These bids will be received by the City of Lower Burrell until 12:00 noon on Friday, April 4, 2025. Sealed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in Council Chambers at 12:01 P.M.
The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive any informality. Each bid must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Property Surety Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount, payable to the municipality.
Attention all asphalt bidders: The City of Lower Burrell (“City”) will award bids to the lowest responsible bidder. After award of the contract, if the asphalt supplier’s plant is broken down or the specified material is unavailable, the City reserves the right and will purchase the specified asphalt from the second lowest responsible bidder due to material unavailability. This permits the City to perform its work for the health, safety, and welfare of the people and traveling public.
