TOWNSHIP OF INDIANA
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Supervisors of the Township of Indiana at its regular meeting on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the Indiana Township Town Hall, 3710 Saxonburg Boulevard, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, 15238, will consider enactment of an Ordinance which is summarized as follows:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF INDIANA, COUNTY OF ALLEGHENY, COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA, REPEALING AND REPLACING CHAPTER 890 OF ITS CODIFIED ORDINANCES, TITLED “EARNED INCOME TAX,” TO CONFORM WITH THE LOCAL TAX ENABLING ACT, AS AMENDED BY ACT NO. 32 OF 2008.
A tax at the rate of one-half percent (0.5%) is currently levied on all earned income and net profits earned by residents of the Township in order to raise revenue in the estimated annual amount of $2,090,000. No change is proposed to the tax rate.
A copy of the full text of the proposed draft ordinance is available for public review in the Township Manager’s office at 3710 Saxonburg Boulevard, Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, 15238 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
