NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Southwest Greensburg County of Westmoreland Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has scheduled a public meeting on April 7 2025 at 6:00 P.M. at the Southwest Greensburg Borough Building 564 Stanton Street Greensburg Pennsylvania of which this is notice thereof wherein the Council of the Borough of Southwest Greensburg Borough will act on an ordinance numbered 2025-04-01 and titled:
AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE INDEBTEDNESS OF THE BOROUGH OF SOUTHWEST GREENSBURG WESTMORELAND COUNTY PENNSYLVANIA BY THE ISSUE OF A GENERAL OBLIGATION NOTE IN THE AMOUNT OF $400000.00 FOR THE COMPLETION OF ITS PUBLIC WORKS MAINTENANCE GARAGE FIXING THE FORM NUMBER DATE INTEREST AND MATURITY THEREOF; MAKING A COVENANT FOR THE PAYMENT OF THE DEBT SERVICE ON THE NOTE; PROVIDING FOR THE FILING OF THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS; PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF A SINKING FUND DEPOSITORY FOR THE NOTE; AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION SALE AND DELIVERY THEREOF
If enacted the ordinance (of which this notice is a summary) will authorize the issuance of the borough’s $400000.00 principal amount General Obligation Note for award at a private sale. The ordinance will also award the note to the purchaser thereof approve the form of the note fix the rate of interest to be paid pledge the full faith and credit of the Borough of Southwest Greensburg (the Local Government Unit) for the payment thereof create a sinking fund and authorize the proper officers of the borough to take the necessary steps to issue the note. The funds to be obtained from the borrowing will be used for the following purpose:

A copy of the full text of the proposed ordinance is available for examination and photocopy by any citizen or other interested person in the office of the Secretary of the Borough of Southwest Greensburg in the Southwest Greensburg Borough Building 564 Stanton Street Greensburg Pennsylvania Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M. eastern standard time.
