PUBLIC NOTICE
In April Eastern Gas Transmission and Storage (EGTS) held an open house event at the Murrysville Community Center to share information about the proposed Appalachian Reliability Project (Project); however due to inclement weather we understand that some community members may not have been able to attend.
To ensure everyone has an opportunity to meet the project team and learn more about the proposed Project EGTS would like to invite you to a second open house event:
Thursday May 29 2025
5:30–7:30 pm
Murrysville Community Center
3091 Carson Ave
Murrysville PA 15668
The open house will be held in a science fair come-and-go format. Project team members will be available to provide more information about the Project and upgrades in your area answer questions and provide an opportunity to submit feedback.
EGTS has proposed the Project to increase the capacity on its existing pipeline system through pipeline additions and station upgrades. This will create 550000 dekatherms/day of incremental firm transportation capacity from a new receipt point in Armstrong County Pennsylvania for deliveries to Texas Eastern Pipeline in Westmoreland County Pennsylvania and the Rockies Express Pipeline (REX) in Monroe County Ohio.
ARP will include the following upgrades:
Monroe County OH
- Mullett Compressor Station: Install an 11100 horsepower (hp) turbine unit in Clarington
- German Ridge Metering & Regulation (M&R): Upgrade existing facility in Clarington
Armstrong County PA
- Roaring Run M&R Facility: Install a new interconnect and M&R facility in Kiskiminetas Township
Greene County PA
- Crayne Compressor Station: Install discharge cross-over flow control within fence line in Franklin Township
Westmoreland County PA
- JB Tonkin Compressor Station: Complete construction of a 20500 hp turbine unit in Murrysville
- Delmont M&R: Upgrade existing facility within fence line at Oakford Station in Salem Township
