NOTICE OF PROPOSED
ORDINANCE AND
PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
NOTICE is hereby given that Westmoreland County will hold a public hearing regarding substantial amendments to the Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance of the County of Westmoreland. The public hearing will take place on July 10, 2025, beginning immediately following the Public Meeting of the Westmoreland County Board of Commissioners scheduled for 10:00 AM. The public hearing will be held in the Commissioner’s Public Meeting Rooms in the Westmoreland County Courthouse, 2 North Main Street, Greensburg, PA 15601.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the Westmoreland County Board of Commissioners, will consider the adoption of the proposed ordinance titled as follows: Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance of the County of Westmoreland (Ordinance #-3-2025) at its regular monthly meeting scheduled to be held at 10:00 AM, prevailing time, on Thursday, July 31, 2025, in the Commissioner’s Public Meeting Room in the Westmoreland County Courthouse, 2 North Main Street, Greensburg, PA 15601.
This proposed ordinance would make a number of substantial amendments and revisions to the County’s existing Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance (Ordinance-11-2013), while retaining those sections of Ordinance-11-2013 that remain unchanged. Ordinance #-3-2025 includes changes in design criteria; updating the review and approval process; updating purposes to ensure consistency with the Westmoreland County Comprehensive Plan, Integrated Water Resource Plan, and the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code; updating review fees and definitions; and to revise typos and errors throughout.
