ENACTMENT NOTICE

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on July 9 2025 in the Borough of Irwin Council Chambers located at 1 First Street Irwin PA 15642 Council of the Borough of Irwin Westmoreland County Pennsylvania enacted an ordinance authorizing the issuance of a general obligation Note in the amount of $350000.00 to finance capital improvements. The ordinance was entitled:

 

ORDINANCE NO. 1014

 

AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE INDEBTEDNESS OF THE BOROUGH OF IRWIN WESTMORELAND COUNTY PENNSYLVANIA BY THE ISSUE OF A GENERAL OBLIGATION NOTE IN THE AMOUNT OF $350000.00 FOR SUNDRY PURPOSES; FIXING THE FORM NUMBER DATE INTEREST AND MATURITY THEREOF; MAKING A COVENANT FOR THE PAYMENT OF THE DEBT SERVICE ON THE NOTE; PROVIDING FOR THE FILING OF THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS; PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF A SINKING FUND DEPOSITORY FOR THE NOTE; AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION SALE AND DELIVERY THEREOF.

 

The ordinance authorized the issuance of a $350000.00 principal amount general obligation note and the private sale thereof to S&T Bank Lender at par bearing interest at the rate of 4.95% per annum. The Note is a general obligation of the Borough and its officers are directed to do all acts necessary and proper for the issuance and securing of said Note. No amendments were made during the final passage of this ordinance.

 

A copy of the full text of the ordinance as enacted may be examined by any citizen in the office of the Secretary of the Borough Irwin at 424 Main Street Irwin PA 15642 Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:30AM and 4PM prevailing time.
