NOTICE
Sealed proposals will be received online via PennBid (https://pennbid.procurware.com) until 10:30 A.M. July 25 2025 at which time a summary of bids received will be displayed on PennBid immediately after bid opening for the furnishing of the following:
CONTRACT R020-26
Loading Hauling & Disposal of Dewatered Sludge at the McKeesport and George R. Sweeney Water Treatment Plants for the period
September 1 2025 through August 31 2026.
Copies of bidding forms specifications and other contract documents will be available at no cost on the PennBid website starting July 10 2025. Bidders shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents via the “Clarifications” feature in PennBid.
All prospective bidders must attend a mandatory viewing of the work site with an authorized representative of the Authority before submission of a bid. A representative of the Authority will be available at the Water Treatment Plant Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Contact Kevin Halaszynski at (412) 678-6055 or via email at khalaszynski@mawc.org to arrange an appointment for the McKeesport WTP and Ray Bair (724) 875-0715 or via email at Rbair@mawc.org to arrange an appointment for the George R. Vendors who are awarded contracts are assessed a variable award fee based on the type of contract. Fixed Contracts Award fee is 1/3% (.0033) of the expected value of the contract for the time period of the awarded contract. The award fee shall be no less than $150 and no greater than $6000.
The Municipal Authority of Westmoreland County reserves the right to waive any informality in any bid received to reject any bids or to accept any bid it deems in its best interest.
