INVITATION TO BID - ADVERTISEMENT

 

Sealed Bids will be received at the office of Southwest Greensburg Borough - Attention: Melinda J. Roberts Borough Manager at 564 Stanton Street Greensburg PA 15601 no later than 10:00 am prevailing time on September 15 2025 for the furnishing of all labor materials tools equipment transportation supervision and the complete performance of all work specified in the Contract for:

 

SOUTHWEST GREENSBURG BOROUGH

VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT

EXTERIOR BUILDING UPGRADES

 

Proposals will be received for the following Prime Contract: General Construction.

 

Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately following the bid deadline on September 15 2025 at The Southwest Greensburg Volunteer Fire Department Community Room located at the Corner of Guthrie & Alexander Streets.

 

All Bidders must contact Ulery Architecture LLC via phone: 724-520-1211 or email: maf@suarch.com to be included on the bidders list and to obtain bid documents. Documents will be sent electronically. No bid deposit is required.

 

Bidders shall provide the following information with their request for documents: company name contact person complete address phone and fax numbers and e-mail address. Hardcopies will be available upon request.

 

Bid Documents will also be on file for review at Pennsylvania Builders Exchange (412) 922-4200 and Altoona Builders Exchange (814) 944-5444.

 

This project is subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act approved August 15 1961 P.L. 987 (Act No. 442) as amended and supplemented and reference is made to the prevailing minimum wage rates applicable to this project which have been promulgated by the Secretary of Labor and Industry.

 

Corporations seeking to bid and organized under the laws of a state other than the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania must secure the appropriate certificates and authorizations permitting them to conduct business within the Commonwealth.

 

A Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held on September 5 2025 beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the project site located at 401 Guthrie Street Greensburg Pennsylvania 15601. All Contractors shall attend the Pre-Bid Conference to inspect the job site and to insure the comprehension of the Bid Documents. Failure of the bidder to attend the Pre-Bid Conference may result in rejection of the bid.

 

Each bid must be accompanied by a security deposit in the form of a Bid Bond Cashier’s Check or Certified Check of a sum of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount on AIA Document A310 Bid Bond or similar and a completed NonCollusion Agreement. Successful bidders will be required to enter a contract with Southwest Greensburg Borough requiring a Labor and Material Payment Bond and Performance Bond in the amount of one-hundred percent (100%) and Maintenance Bond of ten percent (10%) of the Contract Sum.

 

Southwest Greensburg Borough reserves the right to reject any or all bids or items therein or to waive any irregularities in the same. By order Melinda Roberts Borough Manager.
