TAKE NOTICE OF THE INTENT OF COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GREENSBURG TO ACT UPON THREE ORDINANCES AT A REGULAR MEETING SCHEDULED FOR MONDAY SEPTEMBER 8 AT 6 PM AT COUNCIL CHAMBERS 2ND FLOOR GREENSBURG CITY HALL 416 SOUTH MAIN STREET GREENSBURG PA 15601 ENTITLED AND SUMMARIZED AS FOLLOWS:

 

ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GREENSBURG WESTMORELAND COUNTY PENNSYLVANIA AMENDING THE CITY OF GREENSBURG TAXATION CODE TO EXTEND THE TERMINATION DATE OF CHAPTER 240. ARTICLE VIII ENTITLED “EXEMPTION FOR IMPROVEMENTS IN DETERIORATED AREAS”

 

The proposed ordinance would replace Greensburg Code Section 240-71 extending Article VIII of Chapter 240 until September 8 2035.

 

ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GREENSBURG WESTMORELAND COUNTY PENNSYLVANIA CREATING A NEIGHBORHOOD BLIGHT RECLAMATION AND REVITALIZATION CODE PURSUANT TO PENNSYLVANIA ACT NO. 90-2010

 

The proposed ordinance would adopt a new Article III of Chapter 205 of the City of Greensburg Code creating the Neighborhood Blight Remediation and Revitalization Code. The ordinance includes provisions for the title of the Article its purposes definitions actions against owners of property with serious code violations the denial of permits and miscellaneous provisions concerning conflicts with other laws and relief for inherited property.

 

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GREENSBURG COUNTY OF WESTMORELAND AND COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA AMENDING THE CODE CREATING THE GREENSBURG NUISANCE AND ABATEMENT CODE

 

The proposed ordinance would adopt a new Article IV of Chapter 205 of the City of Greensburg Code creating a Greensburg Nuisance Abatement Code. The ordinance includes provisions for the title of the Article its purpose definitions the reporting and investigation of public nuisances summary abatement abatement with prior notice abatement by the owner an appeal process abatement by City after notice and statement of costs assistance in abatement salvaging of material notice of assessment and appeal of charges personal liability of the owner and the administrative fees and civil penalties.
