NPDES RENEWAL

 

Pursuant to the “Noncoal Surface Mining Conservation and Reclamation Act” and the “Clean Streams Law” notice is hereby given that Heidelberg Materials Northeast LLC doing business at 2200 Springfield Pike Connellsville PA 15425 has made application to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to renew the existing NPDES Permit No. PA 0591483 that is associated with the Connellsville Quarry (SMP 26900306). The site is located in Connellsville Township Fayette County. The current permit area is 51.4 acres and is located just south of McCoy Hollow Road (TR-679) approximately ½ mile south of SR-711 and 1 mile east of Connellsville. The receiving streams for the permit area are unnamed tributaries to Connell Run (WWF). The Connellsville U.S. Geological Survey 7.5-minute topographic map contains the area described.

 

A copy of this application is available for public inspection at the Connellsville Township Municipal Building 166 McCoy Hollow Road Connellsville PA 15425. Written comments objections or requests for a public hearing or informal conference may be submitted to the DEP New Stanton District Office 131 Broadview Road New Stanton PA 15672 within thirty days from the date of the final (4th) publication of this notice and must include the person’s name address telephone number and a brief statement as to the nature of the comment(s).
