DOCUMENT 00 1113 - ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
The Westmoreland Intermediate Unit 7 Greensburg PA will receive signed and sealed Bids appropriately identified for the following project:
PAGING SYSTEM REPLACEMENT
CLAIRVIEW SCHOOL
215 Donohoe Road Hempfield Township Westmoreland County Pennsylvania
Contracts: 01 – Electrical Construction
The Owner will receive Bids until 12:00 noon prevailing time on Thursday October 23 2025 at the Westmoreland Intermediate Unit 7 Administrative Offices 102 Equity Drive Greensburg PA 15601 c/o Tammy Good Financial Services Director. Promptly thereafter they will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Fort Ligonier Room at Westmoreland Intermediate Unit 7. Bids received after this time will not be accepted.
Each Bid shall be submitted in a sealed opaque envelope and individually marked with the following:
Project Name (as noted above)
Prime Construction Contract Number and
Name (“01 – Electrical Construction”)
Company Name
BID ENCLOSED – Do Not Open
Bids shall be made upon the form provided and shall be accompanied by a bid bond certified check or cashier’s check in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Base Bid amount made payable to or indemnifying the Westmoreland Intermediate Unit 7. In addition submit the following with each bid: Non-Collusion Affidavit Contractors Qualification Statement and Certificate of Authority (if applicable). Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities in bids and to accept or reject any or all Bids.
Prime Bidders will be required to REGISTER to receive notification of Addenda and project information updates and to obtain access to the PrintScape Website. Registration as a Prime Bidder is automatic upon request and purchase of the complete Project Manual and Drawing sets by contacting Tom Santia at PrintScape 412-788-0641 x115. Bidders shall submit registration request on company letterhead to include the following: 1) Company Name 2) Contract(s) being bid and 3) Contact person email address and phone number. Notification of addenda and updates will be via e-mail to registered bidders. Addenda question and responses and other update information will be posted on the DFS Plan Room Project Folder at www.myPrintScape.com. The purchase of additional bidding documents may be arranged directly through PrintScape. The cost of the Project Manual and Drawings is nonrefundable.
Each bid must be accompanied by a proposal guaranty of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total of the Base Bid; and by a Non-Collusion Affidavit Qualification Questionnaire and a Pennsylvania Certificate of Authority (if applicable).
Project is subject to applicable provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act Act of August 15 1961 P.L. 987 as amended and supplemented.
Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids or parts thereof or items therein and to waive any informality in the bidding.
A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at the Clairview School at 11:00am prevailing time on Tuesday October 9 2025. After the meeting Bidders will be permitted to examine the areas of the Work.
Questions pertaining to the content of the Bidding Documents shall be directed to Steffanie Bako Tower Engineering by email at sbako @ tower-engineering.com. Questions must be submitted using the Pre-Bid RFI form available on the DFS Website phone calls will not be accepted.
