NOTICE -
TOWNSHIP OF HARRISON
The Board of Commissioners of Harrison Township will hold a public meeting to consider an amendment to Chapter 25 of the Township Code of Ordinances, to repeal and replace Part 1 of said Chapter, containing regulations applicable to forest management and timber harvesting, said meeting to be held on November 24, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at the Harrison Township Municipal Building, One Municipal Drive, Natrona Heights, PA 15065.
SUMMARY
The proposed Ordinance would repeal and replace Chapter 25, Part 1, Timber Harvesting, of the Township Code of Ordinances, in order to enact regulations for forest management and timber harvesting practices consistent with the Agriculture, Communities, and Rural Environment Act, including a requirement for advance notice of timber harvesting operations, the submission of a logging plan, and road bonding, and impose penalties for violations.
A copy of the proposed ordinance may be examined in the office of the Township Manager, without charge, during regular business hours.
