NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
To Consider Amending the
Borough’s Civil Service
Rules and Regulations Ordinance
Oakmont Borough Council will hold a Public Meeting to consider the adoption of a Proposed Ordinance revising the Borough’s Civil Service Rules and Regulations December 16 2025 at 7:00 PM in the Oakmont Borough Municipal Building 767 Fifth Street Oakmont Allegheny County Pennsylvania 15139.
The Proposed Ordinance will amend Sections 3.5(B) and 3.11(A) of the borough’s Civil Service Rules and Regulations and Correct Minor Errors Throughout.
Solicitor’s Summary of Proposed Oakmont Borough Ordinance:
The proposed Oakmont Borough Ordinance will amend Section 3.5(b) of the Borough’s Civil Service Rules and Regulations to permit the application for employment by those individuals currently attending Act 120 training at the time of their application. The proposed Oakmont Borough Ordinance will further amend Section 3.11(a) of the Borough’s Civil Service Rules and Regulations to eliminate certain physical examinations and realign standards for other physical examination components to be consistent with state standards. The Ordinance will also correct minor non-substantive typographical errors throughout the body of the Rules and Regulations.
