PUBLIC NOTICE

 

Washington Township has prepared a Pollutant Reduction Plan (PRP) Amendment as required by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PA DEP) National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) and Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) Permit that outlines potential activities and projects that reduce pollutants caused by sediment and/or nutrients in receiving streams. The PRP Amendment is available for public review and comment at the Washington Township Office located at 285 Pine Run Church Road Apollo PA 15613 beginning December 22 2025 through and including January 31 2026 on weekdays during regular business hours of 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. The PRP Amendment is also available for review beginning December 22 2025 on the Township’s website at https://washingtontownship.com/. Written comments will be accepted in person or by mail at the Township Office no later than close of business on January 31 2026. Public comments concerning the PRP Amendment will also be accepted at a public meeting to be held on January 8 2026 at 7:00 p.m. at the Municipal Building. The proposed adoption of the PRP Amendment by the Board of Supervisors will be considered at the first regularly scheduled Board Meeting following the conclusion of the 30-day public comment period.
