Sealed and separate proposals will be received by The Municipal Authority of the Borough of Oakmont at the office of the General Manager, 721 Allegheny Avenue, Oakmont, PA 15139, for Contract No. 1-2027, which consists of the following Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and American Water Works Association approved chemicals:

 

Anhydrous Ammonia, Dense Soda Ash, Liquid Caustic Soda, Liquid Chlorine, Phosphate, Polyaluminum Chloride, Sodium Permanganate, Powdered Activated Carbon, and Sodium Silicofluoride. 

 

Proposals will be accepted at the office of the General Manager until 10:00 A.M. Eastern Daylight Savings Time on May 20, 2026, at which time and place the same will be opened and publicly read for the furnishing and delivery of the chemicals listed above, for the period from August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2027.

 

Specifications and bidding forms may be obtained at the General Office of the Authority. 

 

Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check, or bid bond in the amount equivalent to at least 5% of the bid submitted. 

 

The right to reject any or all proposals or to accept any bid deemed to be in the best interest of The Municipal Authority of the Borough of Oakmont, Water Department is reserved by the Authority.
