INVITATION TO BID

 

The Penn Hills School District is currently requesting proposals for the library walls renovations to the Penn Hills Elementary School. This project includes the renovations to the existing library space. Sealed proposals shall be         addressed to and deposited with Mr. Michael Reposky Director of Plant Services Penn Hills School District 260 Aster Street Penn Hills PA 15235 until 12:00 P.M. local prevailing time May 8 2026 for renovation work to the Penn Hills Elementary School 1079 Jefferson Rd. Penn Hills Township PA 15235.

 

Bids will be publicly opened at the time and place stated above.

 

Each bid shall include the following:

1. Completed Bid Form

2. Certified check a cashiers check or the bid bond of an approved Surety Company in an amount of not less than ten (10%) percent of the amount of the proposal. Check or bond shall be drawn in favor of the "Penn Hills School District."

3. Completed Non-Collusion Affidavit

4. Public Workers Employment Verification Form

 

No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the date set for the opening of bids.

 

A non-mandatory prebid meeting will be held on May 1st at 10am at the Penn Hills School District Administration Office at 260 Aster Street. Penn Hills Township PA 15235.

 

Specifications and drawings for bidding purposes may be obtained by the Contractors at the office of H.F. Lenz Company Consulting Engineers 322 State Street Conneaut OH 44030 on or after April 17 2026. Documents will be distributed electronically in PDF form upon request from the              Contractors. Hard copies of the documents are available upon request and require a non-refundable fee of forty ($40.00) dollars for one set of             specifications with drawings. Specifications and drawings that are requested by the Contractor to be shipped will be sent via UPS Ground upon receipt of an additional ten ($10.00) dollar non-refundable shipping fee.

 

The Contractors attention is specifically directed to the fact that the                     anticipated starting date of work will not be before June 8 2026.

 

Work shall be started on the project not later than ten (10) days after                notification by the Owner or Engineer to start work. The entire work shall be completed ready for use on or before August 8 2026.

 

The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities in bids or to reject any or all bids.
