Young Scholars of Greater

Allegheny Charter School

Attention: Business Office / Operations

 

Young Scholars of Greater Allegheny Charter School (YSGA) is requesting proposals from qualified vendors for the purchase of 2 school vehicle(s) to be used for student transportation. The school is seeking proposals for 10-passenger vehicles that comply with Pennsylvania school vehicle requirements.

 

The preferred vehicle is a Ford Transit Passenger Van (Medium Roof) or equivalent, designed to transport 10 passengers or fewer including the driver, and compliant with 67 Pa. Code §§ 171.121–171.127 and 171.141–171.150. Vehicles must meet all applicable Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and Pennsylvania Department of Education requirements for school vehicles.

 

The scope includes:

 

· New vehicle(s)

· Seating capacity not to exceed 10 passengers including driver

· Required safety equipment in compliance with Pennsylvania school vehicle regulations

· Manufacturer warranty (preferred)

· Delivery to Young Scholars of Greater Allegheny Charter School

 

Proposal submission requirements and full RFP details may be obtained by contacting the Business Office at accounting@ysga.org.

 

All proposals must be submitted electronically or in person to 10 Center Street, McKeesport, PA 15132 no later than May 8, 2026 at 1:00 PM. Late submissions will not be considered.

 

The Young Scholars of Greater Allegheny Charter School Board of Trustees reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all proposals, negotiate terms, or award the contract in a manner deemed in the best interest of the school.
