PUBLIC ADVERTISEMENT

 

Separate and sealed proposals will be received by Mount Pleasant Township, Westmoreland, Pennsylvania, at the Township Office, 208 Poker Road, Mount Pleasant, PA  15666 until 11:00a.m. prevailing time on June 9,2026, at which time they will be opened and publicly read for the following project:

 

MOUNT PLEASANT TOWNSHIP

Pollins Road Superstructure Replacement Project

Contract 1/2026

 

Digital or hard copies of the Contract Documents and/or drawings may be obtained at the office of Gibson­Thomas Engineering Co., Inc., located at 1004 Ligonier Street; 5th Floor, Latrobe, PA 15650 by calling 724-539-8562 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. upon payment of a non-refundable fee of $150.00 for each set of Bid Documents. Checks shall be made payable to Gibson-Thomas Engineering.

 

This project will consist of maintenance and protection of traffic during construction, installation of erosion and sedimentation controls, removal of existing superstructure, construction of proposed 55’ prefabricated bridge superstructure, reconstruction of approach roadways, restoration of disturbed grounds, and removal of erosion and sedimentation controls.

 

Each Proposal shall be accompanied with a certified check or Bidder's Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the proposal, in favor of Mount Pleasant Township. 

 

The Contractor is advised that the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage requirements apply to this project as determined by the Secretary of the Department of Labor and Industry.

 

All contractors must adhere to Act 127 of 2012 (Public Works Employment Verification Act).

 

No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after the same has been filed with the Mount Pleasant Township.

 

The Mount Pleasant Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in bids received.
