PUBLIC ADVERTISEMENT

 

Sealed Proposals will be received by South Greensburg Borough until 6:00 PM on June 1, 2026, at the Borough Building, 1515 Poplar Street,              Greensburg, PA 15601, and then publicly opened and read aloud.

 

CONTRACT 2026-2 2026 Community Development Project

 

APPROXIMATE      1 L.S.                 Removal/disposal brick/asphalt

QUANTITIES          400 Tons            25mm Base Course

                               200 Tons            19mm Binder Course

                               150 Tons             9.5mm Wearing Course

 

 

The Contract Documents may be obtained at the office of the Engineer, Victor P. Regola and Associates, Inc., 402 Clawson Avenue, Youngwood, PA 15697-1599 for the sum of ninety five dollars ($95.00). The fee is              non-refundable. There is an additional fee of $15.00 if the Contract             Documents are to be mailed.

 

CONTRACT 2026-2                       One set of Contract Documents: $95.00

 

Proposals must be on the forms furnished and must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the bid made payable to the Municipality.

 

The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond.

 

This project is funded in whole or in part with federal funds. Davis-Bacon wage rates and other federal requirements apply and are included in the bid       documents. Labor Compliance is mandatory.

 

Contractors should give the best effort to solicit proposals from Minority, Women and Section 3 Business Enterprises for potential subcontractors.

 

Notice is also hereby given that all bidders must comply with Westmoreland County’s Section 3 Plan included in the bid documents when related. Section 3 is a provision of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 (12 U.S.C. 1701u) that is regulated by the provisions of 24 CFR 75. Regulations can be found at: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-24/subtitle-A/part-75.

 

The Municipality reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within 60 days after the actual bid opening thereof.
